According to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) ranking based on 2024 crude steel production, OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies ranked 4th among EU-28 steel producers, 7th in Europe, and 50th worldwide.
8.1 Million Tonnes of Crude Steel Production
In 2025, global crude steel production reached 1.85 billion tonnes, while Türkiye produced 38.1 million tonnes of crude steel.
In the same year, OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies produced 8.1 million tonnes of crude steel.
The Companies’ liquid steel production totaled 8.280 million tonnes in 2025, while flat steel production reached 6.855 million tonnes and long steel production amounted to 928 thousand tonnes.
Iron ore and magnesite production totaled 2.653 million tonnes. During 2025, OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies exported a total of 1.555 million tonnes of finished steel products, comprising 1.532 million tonnes of flat products and 23 thousand tonnes of long products. Exports accounted for 20% of total sales, reaching 34 countries for flat products and 7 countries for long products.

Erdemir is Türkiye’s first and largest integrated flat steel producer and one of the leading companies in the industry.
İsdemir is Türkiye’s largest integrated steel plant and the country’s only integrated facility producing both flat and long steel products.
As of the end of 2025, OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies employed 12,824 people, ranking among Türkiye’s largest private-sector employers.
Both Erdemir and İsdemir are listed on Borsa İstanbul (BIST) and are included in the BIST Sustainability Index, which comprises publicly traded companies demonstrating strong corporate sustainability performance. Erdemir has been included in the Index since November 2015, while İsdemir has been listed since November 2019, when it first became eligible for assessment.
Erdemir is traded on Borsa İstanbul under the ticker symbol EREGL, while İsdemir is listed under ISDMR.
