OYAK expanded into the food industry through the acquisition of Sagra, one of Türkiye’s most established confectionery brands with a 90-year heritage, together with its iconic Tadelle, Sarelle, and Gol brands. Operating a manufacturing facility that meets the highest standards of food safety and quality, Sagra produces its products in Ordu, in Türkiye’s Black Sea Region—home to some of the world’s richest hazelnut-growing areas. Situated on a 60,000 m² site, the facility has an annual production capacity of 28 thousand tonnes.
Building on this strategic investment, OYAK further strengthened its presence in Türkiye’s food industry—valued at over TRY 1 trillion—through the acquisition of TAMEK, a 100% Turkish-owned food manufacturer founded in Bursa in 1955. Certified to FSSC, ISO 9000, and Halal standards, TAMEK manufactures products for domestic and international markets at its facilities in Karacabey, Bursa, which occupy 170,000 m² and have a total annual production capacity of 221 thousand tonnes. With a portfolio of more than 300 products across eight product categories and a wide range of packaging formats, TAMEK exports to 32 countries in addition to serving the domestic market.
On 30 June 2025, Tamek Grup Gıda Üretim A.Ş. and Sagra Grup Gıda Üretim ve Ticaret A.Ş. were merged through a legal merger. Following the transaction, Sagra Grup Gıda Üretim ve Ticaret A.Ş. was dissolved, and Tamek Grup Gıda Üretim A.Ş. was renamed Tamek Sagra Grup Gıda Üretim A.Ş.
In line with its vision of becoming Türkiye’s leading sales and distribution platform, OYAK established SATEM on 17 May 2021 to increase the market share of the brands within its food business, integrate distribution operations, optimize costs, and strengthen product availability across the most effective sales channels. SATEM provides comprehensive sales, trade marketing, sales operations, administrative, and operational services, reaching customers through a wide range of channels, including national retail chains, regional retailers, traditional trade, food service outlets, e-commerce platforms, and export markets. As of 1 November 2025, SATEM concluded its sales and distribution operations. The Company continues its activities under its Concept Retail business through "Sagra Café since 1936", further enhancing the value and heritage of the iconic Sagra brand.
