İsdemir was awarded a plaque of appreciation for its “İsdemir Special Industrial Zone Port Capacity Increase and Sustainability Investment” project at the event where the HIT-30 High Technology Incentive Program was introduced. In line with the project, İsdemir is carrying out repair, renovation, and strengthening works, as well as a capacity increase at the port.
İsdemir, one of the OYAK Mining Metallurgy companies and Türkiye's only integrated facility capable of producing both flat and long steel, was deemed worthy of an award at the introduction meeting of the HIT-30 High Technology Incentive Program held on July 26, 2024.
The HIT-30 High Technology Incentive Program, which was implemented with the aim of making Türkiye a global center in emerging technology fields, was held at the Atatürk Cultural Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. At the event, companies that realized the largest projects in terms of investment size within the scope of the project incentives provided in 2023-2024 were also presented with a plaque of appreciation. İsdemir was among the companies entitled to receive a plaque for the “İsdemir Special Industrial Zone Port Capacity Increase and Sustainability Investment” project. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz presented İsdemir’s plaque to Gürtan Damar, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of the Board of Directors of İsdemir.
Established in 1974, İsdemir Port meets İsdemir's need for maritime transportation services for raw materials and finished products. The port, which has five unloading/loading berths and one liquid cargo berth, has a capacity of 16,000,000 tons per year. In line with the “İsdemir Special Industrial Zone Port Capacity Increase and Sustainability Investment” project, İsdemir is carrying out repair, renovation, and strengthening works in addition to the capacity increase.
