Innovance Founder and CEO Yusuf Ürey emphasized the importance of national software, stating: “We have strong capabilities in banking technologies. We are exporting the solutions we develop in Türkiye to various markets, particularly Europe.”
Innovance, which is among the venture capital investments of OYAK, stands out with its end-to-end technology solutions offered primarily to the financial sector, as well as to various other industries.
Founder and CEO Yusuf Ürey stated that the domestic solutions they have developed in Türkiye are being exported to many markets, especially Europe, and that they are capable of establishing any type of bank from scratch rapidly. Ürey also evaluated the competencies of Turkish engineers in the field of technology and their global achievements.
Highlighting the vision of Innovance, which ranked at the top of Forbes Türkiye’s “Entrepreneurship 2026 List,” Ürey noted that Türkiye has gained significant expertise particularly in financial technologies and that developing domestic technology has become a strategic necessity.
Ürey emphasized that Turkish engineers, competing with global technology giants across all processes—from facial recognition systems to digital wallets—have achieved a major global success by nationalizing banking technologies.
“We Can Rapidly Establish Four Types of Banks from Scratch”
Drawing attention to the high level of expertise of Turkish engineers in financial technologies, Ürey stated:
“We can establish conventional banks, digital banks, investment banks, and participation banks from scratch very quickly. We can implement this not only in Türkiye but in many countries around the world. This is one of our key competitive advantages.”
Ürey also noted that Innovance has a structure that covers all sectoral needs, including solutions such as Mobile Banking, ATM, Call Center, Facial Recognition Systems, e-Wallet, and KYC, and that they develop their own database systems.
“We Save Time and Costs with the ‘Single Contract’ Model”
Pointing out that they have addressed integration challenges in large-scale projects through innovative approaches developed by Turkish engineers, Ürey explained their “Single Contract” model as follows:
“In traditional systems, large projects require the integration of products from multiple vendors. Contract management becomes long and cumbersome, and when an issue arises, it becomes difficult to determine responsibility among companies. We simplify this process with our ‘Single Contract’ model. We take full responsibility—from database systems to core banking, from digital channels to regulatory processes. The client deals with a single company. The biggest advantage of this model is time savings. Time equals cost. We reduce our client’s expenses and increase their revenue.”
“Türkiye Holds a Strong Position in Technology Production”
Emphasizing that Türkiye has made significant progress in software, data, and security, Ürey underlined that Türkiye is clearly ahead in comparisons with Europe.
“We are in a strong position with our service quality, technology, and know-how. While the transformation of some legacy systems in Europe takes time, Türkiye can adapt to new technologies more quickly due to its agile structure. This provides a significant advantage in international projects,” he said.
Describing “adaptability” as the secret behind the sustainable success of Turkish entrepreneurs abroad, Ürey added:
“Always trust Turkish people. Our people have an incredibly high capacity for adaptation. By the laws of nature, if you cannot adapt to where you go, you fail; we have that flexibility and strength.”
“Dependence on Foreign Technology Is a National Security Issue”
Stating that the importance of national software is now more clearly understood, Innovance Founder and CEO Yusuf Ürey made the following remarks regarding strategic independence:
“In projects we carry out for critical government units, we reduce the need for foreign products. It is crucial that your data and all your security belong to you—being local and national is of great importance. Global developments have made the risks of technological dependence more visible. Therefore, developing our own technology in critical systems is a strategic necessity.”
“Türkiye’s Technology Is Expanding Across Europe”
Ürey also noted that they successfully completed the technological transformation of Anker Bank in Germany. He added that, thanks to the strong European banking experience gained there, they continue to contribute to Türkiye’s technology exports by acquiring new clients in Italy, the Netherlands, and various regions of Germany.
