Our Company Amsterdam Scrap Terminal (AST) Hosted OYAK Management

9 September 2025

OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş and his accompanying delegation visited Amsterdam Scrap Terminal (AST), a pioneer in recycling and, as of 2024, a member of the OYAK Group of Companies.

During the visit, the team examined AST’s production capacity and operational processes. The facility, which independently accounts for a significant share of steel scrap exports from the Netherlands to Türkiye, has accelerated its export volumes following OYAK’s acquisition, reaching around 340,000 metric tons. Targets set for the remainder of the year were also reviewed.

The delegation received detailed information on the innovative methods employed in scrap metal processing and exports, as well as on projects prioritizing environmental sustainability. In addition, OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş met with AST employees, listened to their experiences and suggestions, and emphasized the facility’s strategic importance for the future.
