The Competition Board approves OYAK's acquisition of Sagra

The Competition Board approved the agreement signed by OYAK with Sanset Gıda for the acquisition of the Sarelle, Tadelle, Gol, Sagra Special and Gofy  brands along with Sagra, as well as the factory of Sanset Gıda in Ordu.


The Competition Board approved the agreement for the acquisition of Sagra, an 85-year-old long-established brand in the Turkish chocolate products market, by OYAK, the largest professional pension fund in Turkey. According to the acquisition agreement signed with Sanset Gıda, approved by the Competition Board, Sarelle, Tadelle, Gol, Sagra Special and Gofy  brands along with Sagra joined the OYAK Group Companies. It is scheduled to complete the acquisition process after obtaining other legal permits and approvals.

Making a strong entrance into the food industry with Sagra, OYAK aims to increase its product range and number of brands and reach a rich portfolio after utilizing the market opportunities by focusing on innovation. OYAK plans to reach a significant volume in food exports with high value-added products and thus make a significant contribution to hazelnut producers along the Black Sea, and aims to offer significant employment opportunities in the Black Sea region, particularly in the Ordu city, with its market share and export growth.
