Erdemir Stadium and Sports Hall opened to the service of regional athletes

Erdemir allocated sports facilities to contribute to the development of regional sports and athletes. Erdemir Stadium opened its doors to amateur sports clubs in the region in the new period in line with the protocol signed between Erdemir and Karadeniz Ereğli District Sports Directorate. Erdemir Indoor Sports Hall is allocated for the trainings of Karadeniz Ereğli Municipality Girls’ and Boys' Basketball and Paravolley and other indoor sports teams. 

A protocol was signed between Erdemir and Karadeniz Ereğli District Sports Directorate regarding the use of Erdemir Stadium for amateur league matches and training. According to the protocol, Erdemir Stadium is allocated to the District Sports Directorate free of charge between September 2021 and May 2022.

Erdemir continues to add value to the people of the region for 56 years with the social projects it carries out as well as its contributions to the economic development of the region. Opened the doors of its facilities in the field of sports to young people and children and in addition to the projects it carries out for education and the cultural heritage of Karadeniz Ereğli, Erdemir aims to contribute to the development of regional sports and athletes through its cooperation.

The teams took the field

Amateur sports clubs in the region started to benefit from the stadium between 16:00-20:00 on weekdays and 10:00-17:00 on weekends. Erdemir Indoor Sports Hall is allocated for the trainings of Karadeniz Ereğli Municipality Girls’ and Boys' Basketball teams, Paravolley and other indoor sports teams.

Erdemir sports facilities continue to serve from past to present both Erdemir employees and educational institutions in the region, amateur clubs, amateur leagues and veteran teams.
